Key hangers fixed on the wall in two ways:
1. On everyone key hanger back side is a special one or two holders, so you can easily screw key hanger on the wall ( we add screw for you ).
2. And also on key hanger back side is a special very strong and thick two-sided tape ( hold weight of around 132lb / 60kg ), so you do not have to drill holes in the wall especially if you can't do this. ( But I'm not responsible for this if the hanger after some time falls off )
And it is not recommended to stick the key hanger on vinyl wallpaper because their surface is slippery.
